Civil Defense
This page is where information pertaining to the Civil Defense program will be
located. The Civil Defense was established in 1941 as a result of WW II
and was very active during the late 1950's and early 1960's era of the cold war.
The possibility of a nuclear attack was in the forefront of civilization during
this period and the programs and information campaign waged by the Civil Defense
agency was an attempt to prepare the population of the United States to survive
a nuclear attack. We feel it is appropriate to include this section in the
web site because of its close ties to the threat of nuclear war which is what
the ICBM missile systems would have unleashed had they ever been used. If you have any
